Bio

Born to a Mexican woman and an Anglo man in Northern Mexico, the Republic of Texas, Robyn currently resides in Denver, CO and is a joint doctoral student at The University of Denver & Iliff School of Theology. Self-identified as a QueerMestizo (of Mexican & Anglo heritage), she lives in Denver, CO.
Robyn begins research in the intersecting realities of discourse focussing particularly on the intersection of ethics and culture, specifically exemplified in the discipline of Social Ethics. Robyn seeks a critical and discursive reflection with particular attention to the ways in which queer, feminist, borderland, women of color critiques, and spatial theories, along with intersectional analysis extends the discipline of Social Ethics.
Robyn is originally from Northern Mexico, the Republic of Texas (San Antonio), moved to Chicago, IL for graduate school, and completed a master’s in theological ethics. Robyn then worked in domestic violence & sexual assault fields before joining the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. Following this, Robyn began doctoral work at the University of Denver/Iliff School of Theology to study Social Ethics and Latin@ Studies.
