Dissertation or Thesis Title

“Wife- Husband Relationship in the Househeold Code in Ephesians 5:21-33”

Description

It is a postcolonial feminist reading of the wife-husband paire in the Ephesian Haustafel. While Ephesian householdcodes attempt to modify Greco-Roman familial norms with Christian principles, fail to challenge the patriarchal gender norms and retain them as part of Christian teachings. This dissertation tries to expose the colonial and patriarchal notions embedded in the Ephesian hausatfel and challenge the traditional andro-centric interpretations.
